Daily Devotional. He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, IS IN DARKNESS even until now. 1 John 2:9. But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that DARKNESS HATH BLINDED HIS EYES. 1 John 2:11. Whosoever hateth his brother IS A MURDERER : and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him. 1 John 3:15. Thayer’s Definition; to hate, pursue with hatred, detest to be hated, detested. This is all for Christians, and for people who think they are Christians. Someone does you dirty, in any number of ways, no question, fine, you have good reason to hate them and want them dead. YES, IF YOU ARE STILL OF THIS WORLD!!! As a Christian now, if someone has done you dirty, you have given up that right to desire their death, BECAUSE CHRIST HAD FORGIVEN YOU OF YOUR EXTREME HATRED AGAINST HIM, CHRIST, AND HE, CHRIST, NOW LOVES YOU WITH ALL HIS HEART, and now asks you to Love him who hated you with way less hatred than you hated Christ. Christ has forgiven you of everything, can you now, with Christ’s help, forgive another person of ONE thing he did against you? Just one? Maybe, just two things? Maybe three? In simpler terms, Christ has Completely Forgiven, and Forgotten, the 3,572 acts of hatred YOU did against Christ. Will you forgive “that guy” of the 3 things of hatred he did against you? Jesus Christ WILL give you the strength to do that, if you will allow Him into your heart to work on it. If you can’t, or won’t, forgive “that guy”, are you SURE Christ has Forgiven you and you ARE one of His? He is serious about this forgiveness stuff, it’s required reading. Don’t let Pride keep you from forgiving others, no matter how bad they did. Ask Christ what He has Forgiven you of, and when He shows you, you will GLADLY Forgive ALL others. THEN, you will, Be Blessed.
