Daily Devotional. Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on Him, if ye CONTINUE in My Word, THEN are ye My Disciples INDEED; And ye shall KNOW The Truth, and The Truth SHALL make you Free. John 8:31-32. Then said Jesus to those Jews which “believed” on Him,(those who considered the Words of Jesus interesting enough to hold their attention, at least for a while longer, those “unbelievers” didn’t hear anything interesting enough for them to stay, so they left), if ye CONTINUE in My Word, (continue listening, maybe even ask questions, He continues to hold their attention), THEN are ye My Disciples (they’ve heard enough to establish some serious interest in what else Jesus has to say. Not fully committed, but seriously interested), INDEED, (the ACTION of listening, Hearing and truly Pondering on the Things He’s Said); And (if you REALLY want to continue with Me and My Word), ye shall KNOW The Truth, (it’s now obvious that His Words are sinking in, closer to a serious commitment to Christ), and The Truth SHALL (if you finally “see the Light” and Understand in your Heart and Spirit that to truly Repent of your sins and Ask Christ to fully be your Lord and Saviour, He WILL) make you Free (of the bondages, penalties and Godly Wrath to come), of sin. John 8:31-32. Christ, the Holy Spirit, that Still Small Voice, Talking to you, Encouraging you, Prompting you, to come to Christ and make Him your Lord and Saviour, IS STILL NOT ENOUGH TO SAVE YOU. They’ve done all the work, (you’re 99% there), but YOU have to ask Christ to Forgive you of your sins AND ask Him to be your Lord and Saviour, (99.99% there), AND CONTINUE WALKING WITH CHRIST FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE. Sure, you’ll have your ups and downs, GOoD days and hard days, trip up in sin AND BE FORGIVEN, but it’ll be the most Awesome and Adventurous Life you’ve never even dreamed of. You’ll even find yourself Praising the Lord for EVERYTHING, even when it hurts, because He’s got it ALL under Control and you will FOREVER, Be Blessed.
