Daily Devotional. Take ye from among you an offering unto the Lord : WHOSOEVER IS OF A WILLING HEART , let him bring it, an offering of the Lord ; gold, and silver, and brass, (and many other things), Exodus 35:5. This was a call by Moses to have anyone willing bring materials to build the tent House for the lord. And they came, EVERY ONE WHOSE HEART STIRRED HIM UP , and every one WHOM HIS SPIRIT MADE WILLING , and they brought the Lord’s offering to the work of the tabernacle of the congregation, and for all his service, and for the holy garments. Exodus 35:21. The call to all who are willing, is Joyfully answered by willing people. These are the same people who, just a short time ago, the Lord was about to wipe out. The people are “wishy washy” in their minds, up one day, down the next. They are not of a Sound Mind. The Tent House for the Lord is Joyfully built and the Lord “moves in”. The 12 spies are sent out to search out the Promised Land and again, in a short time, there’s trouble in the camp. The 12 spies come back with a bad report and all the congregation are up in arms against Moses. AND ALL THE CONGREGATION LIFTED UP THEIR VOICE , and cried; and the people wept that night. AND all the children of Israel MURMURED AGAINST MOSES and against Aaron: and the whole congregation said unto them, Would God that we had died in the land of Egypt! OR WOULD GOD WE HAD DIED IN THIS WILDERNESS ! Numbers 14:1-2. These people have no soundness of mind at all. And the Lord said unto Moses, HOW LONG WILL THIS PEOPLE PROVOKE ME ? and how long will it be ere they believe me, for all the signs which I have shewed among them? Numbers 14:11. Again Mosses intercedes for them, and the lord allows everyone over 20 years old to die off in the wilderness, for 40 years. The Lord gave them just what they asked for. My point? ONLY THOSE OF SOUND MIND WILL SEE THE LORD. It’s time to Believe, Proclaim, and Live, AS FOR ME AND MY HOUSE, WE WILL SERVE THE LORD, AND, BE BLESSED.
