Daily Devotional. And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, AND PREACH THE GOSPEL to every creature. Mark 16:15. This is a command to go and Preach the Gospel, period. Here’s the rest of the story. What Jesus DOESN’T say, is exactly how long to preach, exactly which words or verses to use, how often you will be required to do this, or even how much commitment He calls for. You’re free to do this exactly as YOU like, with no one breathing down you back checking up on you. Well, not the Lord anyway. You are free to do as much or as little as you like. You can preach Solid Gospel, or some watered down version if you like. So why did God allow this kind of Freedom? Because whatever you do or don’t do, say or don’t say, will all come forth from your Heart Attitude, and that is something everyone will see. It doesn’t matter if you’re a Preacher preaching to your congregation, or a Teacher with a class of students, or a man at home with his family. Your life IS your Testimony for all to see. Are you Preaching/Teaching just enough to “feed” your people something, but not so much as to aggravate them that they leave under conviction? Or do you lay it all on the line and let the chips fall where they may? Do you tailor your words to bring in the goats, and they stay goats, or do you Preach The Word of God and Trust the Holy Spirit to custom tailor the Word to each hearers needs? Do you preach/teach with a fear that the people might leave? Or do you Preach/Teach with a fear that the Lord might leave? This is serious stuff, people’s lives are at stake. Do your best as unto the Lord and you’ll see them all in Heaven. Slack off into lukewarmness and no one will ever see you again. Oh, slack off is determined by the Lord and His Standard. So go Preach/Teach His Word, and, Be Blessed.
