Renunciation or abandonment of one’s religious faith or of an object of one’s previous loyalty. It seems the Word “Apostasy” is nowhere to be found in the Bible, but many examples of it are. It’s called, “a falling away”, and it means many people are going to deny their Faith in Christ when the going gets tough. First off, understand that NOT ONE OF CHRIST’S WILL DENY HIM, END OF DISCUSSION, PERIOD. Those who are Christ’s in Faith, Action, and Deed are His and He will keep every one of them. It is the “Lord Lord” people in church who will deny and fall away. It anyone denies Christ, they NEVER were one of His. Remember the farmer and the seeds planned in the 4 soils. One partly grew until opposition or persecution came. They never produced any fruit, Christ wasn’t their source. So what’s happening with this great falling away? The phony’s, the look-alikes, the counterfeits, and the Lord Lord people are all going to come under the same pressure, (as in building a Diamond), as the Christians will come under, but only the Christians are built to handle, ensure, relish, benefit, and yes, even Rejoice, in that Pressure. That pressure is straight from God, forget Satan, he doesn’t even get to enter this picture. God will not share His Glory with anyone, Satan included. He will Glorify Himself in us and the Work He is doing in each of us, each of His. Pray for your family and friends that they will grow under pressure. If they give up and deny Christ, sorry, they weren’t His from the start. Pressure is here and growing, rejoice that you are Growing in CHRISTLIKENESS and that in the end, you will, Be Blessed.
