Daily Devotional. For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, IF IT WERE POSSIBLE, they shall deceive the very elect. Matthew 24:24. Satan has NO power and authority over the blood washed believers, the Very Elect, period. All he can try to do is put thoughts into their heads and hope they will “play” with them. Let’s be careful here with Biblical understanding as we try to illustrate a point. Satan has NO authority over the Very Elect. He does have much more freedom to deceive those who are not the Very Elect. In one sense, without the Blood of Christ, and the washing of the water of the Word, the unbeliever may very easily be deceived. Deception comes in all shapes and sizes. From the very obvious and easy to see, to the harder to see deception that is actually cover for a very serious sneak attack deception. Let one be “caught” while the other sneaks in unnoticed. The sad part is that those hearing Deception will be just as convinced it is the Truth, as a Believer is convinced that the Gospel is the Truth. There is no changing someone who has heard and believes the Truth, on either side. Only the Holy Spirit can shine The Light on The Truth and convince a sinner into Salvation. In this arena, Satan has been very successful and billions of Deceived people, people who have “the Truth”, are going to Hell. Everyone believes they are right, but only those In Christ, will be. Big deception, small deception, it doesn’t matter, it just has to be ENOUGH deception. A deception someone CHOOSES to follow as they miss the red flags the Holy Spirit is putting up to warn them. Pray for all your deceived friends, no one else will, as they are still fair game for Salvation, until they breathe their last breath. Save them Lord, that they may, Be Blessed.
