Daily Devotional. I marvel that ye are so soon removed from HIM that called you into the grace of Christ, (and now start believing and following) unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, (this is important enough for us to repeat this again) so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ. Galatians 1:6-10.This is a very strong, twice repeated, admonition to the church to not add any thoughts or actions of man, or angels, into the church services. IF we are to believe that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is truly Sufficient to be Totally, Completely, and Fully Able and Capable of Saving unto Salvation, to Feed ALL the sheep, from brand new lambs to well-seasoned seniors, to Fully teach us how to Praise, Honor, and Worship the Lord during service AND the rest of the week, to teach our families how to be families, our married how to Grow their marriages, how to Pray for and Take Care of one another, And, how to reach the lost and bring them to Christ….. IF we believe all this, that the Gospel is FULLY capable of this, then we don’t need to add anything to our church times together. Because whatever MAN adds to God, pollutes God. And He can’t bless pollution. On the other hand, if we like our man-made rituals, traditions, and ideas of how WE want to do things, OUR way, and throw in some Gospel to make it sound religious, we can do that too. If God’s Word is good, and our ideas will help, by all means, add what will help God get done what He isn’t able to do himself. Which way is it? Is GOSPEL enough? Or is gospel and MAN enough?
