Daily Devotional – MORNINGTIME 1488

Daily Devotional. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. 1 John 1:7. Hey, what is this, some kind of fine print for salvation? I went up front, said The Prayer, gave my heart to Jesus, and the preacher said I was a christian. Isn’t that all I need to do? No brother, that is not the Fullness of Walking with Christ. It says here we have to WALK IN THE LIGHT, (CHRIST), AS HE IS IN THE LIGHT. Christ is Light and in Him there is no darkness. To walk with Christ is to walk in step with Him, to go where He leads, and to stop when He stops. He’s leading us sheep, remember? And when He opens a gate for us to go through, IT’S FOR US TO GO THROUGH. We’re sheep, we don’t have a choice. If we’re His sheep, WE WILL GLADLY FOLLOW HIM EVERYWHERE HE LEADS. Think about it, goats don’t follow anybody, sheep only follow One Shepard. They know the Love of the Shepard and will gladly follow Him anywhere. And if you walk with Him in the Light, what right do you have to wander off into darkness? Any darkness? It’s ok, I’ll only be gone for a few minutes, no one will miss me, the darkness is still a little fun, it’s ok, I can handle it. Heard that before? How many times do you think you can go play in darkness before Christ, the Good Shepard notices you’re gone, and comes looking for you? Don’t be fooled, if He has to, he’ll break your leg and carry you back to the fold. Your run-around days are over. He loves you enough to go get you, do you love Him enough to stay where He puts you? If you wonder off, again, will anybody miss you? Or are they used to you being gone? Stay with Christ, stay in the Light, and, Be Blessed.
