Daily Devotional. But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: 1 Peter 1:19. Christ, The Perfect Lamb. There’s got to be more to the story than just, He died for you, He shed His Blood so you could be forgiven. Yes, this is the bedrock of the Christian Faith. This was enough for the thief in the cross. That was as close to a last minute salvation as you dare go for. But did He die for anything else? There can be a list of 10 more things, but the Blood is the key. Without the Shed Blood, it was just a man dying on a cross. Christ was the Payment and His Blood sealed the deal. So, what else did His Blood cover? It covered EVERYTHING. Anything that needs to be done in the Lord, is Covered, Paid For In Full. He Paid for every breath we take, every heartbeat, every Battle we need to go through, Victory for every trial, trouble, and tribulation we have to face. He Paid for every attitude that the Holy Spirit is working on to draw us into CHRISTLIKENESS. Any cuss word we say is Covered, just waiting for us to ask for Forgiveness. Remember, Forgiveness has already been granted to us, we just have to ask for it in order to receive it. ANY sin we do, is Covered by The Blood, just waiting to be forgiven. Here’s the hard part. This Perfect, Blood Shedding Sacrifice, WAS THE ONLY BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD!!! Does this make anybody tremble? Shake in their boots? Bring them to tears? Does this Blood mean anything to you, or is it just a good story, even a nice saying? Does anybody really Preach about THE POWER OF THE BLOOD??? Or is it just a good, old song, lyrics? There is a lot more to The Blood than just lyrics and a short sermon. I’m asking questions of the Lord, and waiting for answers, that we ALL may, Be Blessed.
