Daily Devotional. THE FEAR OF MAN BRINGETH A SNARE: but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe. Proverbs 29:25. wherefore then layest thou a snare for my life, TO CAUSE ME TO DIE? 1Samuel 28:9 b. When you have a fear of man, it may be just one person, or a group of people. Either way, you will tend to walk away from, or around, who you fear. That being the case, you will keep a look-out for what you fear in the hopes of not running into them. When there is a fear of man, there is always a much less fear of God. Fearing man is first, Fearing God comes 2nd. “ONLY FEAR THE LORD, and serve Him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things He hath done for you”. 1 Samuel 12:24. As an illustration, why fear a man who can kick you in the shin and cause you some pain, instead of Fear The God Who can kill you and cast your soul into Eternal Damnation suffering Pure Pain Forever??? When a person meets Christ as his Lord and Saviour, that person is greeted by The Loving Father instead of the Condemning Judge. NOW, with Christ on your side, at your side, and IN your side, tell me what man there is to fear. Tell me what ANY man can do to you that you should fear. Before ANY man or devil can do ANYTHING to you, he has to submit that plan to Christ for prior approval and modification, before it can touch you. And IF something does get approved, IT WILL ONLY BE FOR YOUR GOOD. And if a Loving Father wants to do something to you to bring you closer to CHRISTLIKENESS, who would want to deny Him, or you, of that? So forget about anything man can do to try to get you to fear him, just Fear God, and everything else will fall into its proper place. Decide now who to fear, and they get first place. There will be no second place. Fear, Revere, and Love the Lord. Then, you will, Be Blessed.
