Daily Devotional- MORNINGTIME 1879

Daily Devotional. Thou shalt not kill. Exodus 20:13. This is one of the 10 Commandments, and it’s a short one. For today’s discussion, we’re not talking about, if you hate your brother, you’re killing him. This will be about physically killing a person. And there’s been a lot of that in the news lately. Did you notice that there is a group of people running around cutting off people’s heads, or feet, or arms, or legs, or any combination thereof? Sometimes people are being slaughtered just because, they’re different. It’s basically, “I don’t like you and people the same as you, so I’m going to kill you”, and they’re getting away with it. Yes, there are other groups of people calling for an end to these senseless killings, but the killers seem to be gaining ground and even almost bragging about what they’re doing, they’re even showing videos about this. The videos are really graphic and most people won’t watch them. The Bible says that in the Last Days there would be a great increase of man killing man, what’s right is wrong and what’s wrong is right, and people would become so numb to it that they just turn and walk away. Even many people in the church have quit fighting this wrong and have no interest in doing right. This is not how you “love your neighbor” by saying it’s someone else’s problem, it doesn’t affect me, so leave me alone. The good news is that this killing spree will eventually come to a stop. But that may be when Christ comes back in His Kingdom. In the meantime, (notice, in the MEAN time?), we’ll keep praying for the Lord’s Mercy to keep being extended to these murderers, that they will repent and see the error of their ways. As best I can tell, we have somewhere between 50 and 60 million deaths on our hands. Isis has a long way to go with killing Christians before they can even start to compare to us in America and our blood bath. Only Christ can Save. Only through Christ will we, Be Blessed.
