Daily Devotional- MORNINGTIME 1669

Daily Devotional. Take heed to yourselves, that your heart be not deceived, AND YE TURN ASIDE, and serve other gods, and worship them; Deuteronomy 11:16. The Bible is so simple. It says do this, and we do it. It says don’t do that, and we don’t do that. It’s as simple as that, do the do, and don’t the don’t. For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I. Romans 7:15. The Apostle Paul threw a monkey wrench into the simplicity of Obedience. So why is it so hard to obey the Lord, whichever way He tells us? Let’s go deeper. Why do we not ask for the Fullness of Christ and ALL that He has for us? Because the flesh doesn’t want to give up authority and control over a person. Understand, flesh has NO authority over anything, for a Believer. Flesh can only play in your head and try to get you to entertain its thoughts, with the hopes you’ll willingly give in to them. But to desire what the flesh has to offer, sometimes that’s a hard one. Even Paul had trouble with it. BUT UNDERSTAND THIS, Paul also understood that Christ has given us authority over ALL things, including our flesh. Paul recognized the flesh problem, he did not give us license to sin because of it. Christ overcame it all, and has made a way for us to overcome it too. WE HAVE NO EXCUSE TO SIN ABOUT ANYTHING. Christ Paid for our freedom in Him. He did not pay for our freedom in the world. We are Free to do all things through Christ, as He directs, no sin allowed. This applies to Preachers, Teachers, and Joe Sheepers. None of us has any excuse not to teach/preach and live the whole Gospel. Only fleshly laziness may stop us. And that would be by choice. Preach to the church, or teach yourself, give the whole Gospel and let the chips fall where they may. Preach Christ, and, Be Blessed.
