The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, Luke 4:18.(Preach the gospel, heavy). So what’s the problem with hearing the Gospel preached by someone who is mimicking words, lite, and someone who is Preaching the Word of God, heavy, since they both are Preaching the Gospel? Would you be satisfied to go to a store that is offering you a small sample of food on a toothpick, or a restaurant that is offering you a full spread buffet at no charge to you, as often as you like, because all expenses have been paid in full because of the Work of Another? At church, you may enjoy a sermon for an hour that is peppered with 2 or 3 scripture verses, and lots of, “As I grew up”, stuff, or you can listen for an hour to someone who continuously weaves many verses throughout the sermon to the Law that will crush you, and then share the Grace that will Save you. Which one will feed your Spirit every time you listen to the place that you are Growing in the Lord, well fed? When the Gospel is (heavy) preached, there is no room for heresy. When a “small” gospel, (lite), is preached, there is all kinds of room for heresy, also known as Deception. Remember, good solid Gospel Preaching will feed the newest baby lamb, and still have solid meat and potatoes for the Mature sheep. The Gospel is Totally, Completely, and Fully Sufficient to bring you to Christ, keep you in Christ, and Be with Christ for all Eternity. Preach Christ, and everyone will, Be Blessed.
