Daily Devotional. The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, Luke 4:18. When Christ came, He Preached the Gospel, the whole, complete, total Gospel that included all the Old Testament, and all the (soon to be written) New Testament. His Gospel included The Law, and Grace. It takes both Law and Grace to understand the need for Salvation. Christ didn’t only Preach the Gospel, He wrote it because He IS the Gospel. His Pure Nature Is The Gospel. Everything it says, IS HIM. It was the Word of God wrapped up in flesh. That’s the only way we people could have half a chance of relating to it. It had to be relevant to us people. Think about this. You say you love Christ but there are some things about the Bible you just don’t believe. Like, it did take millions of years to create the earth, and, the Red Sea was only a few inches deep, it was low tide, and, Christ was a good Prophet, right up there with Mohammad. If you don’t believe ALL The Word, tell Christ which arm or leg you want to take off Him because He’s not all true. Sorry, but it’s either ALL OF CHRIST, THE WORD, OR NONE OF CHRIST, THE LIAR. You have to decide Who He Is to you. A liar, or God Almighty. No in between, no fudge factor, no middle of the road. HE IS EITHER KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS, or you are a walking dead man on your way to Hell. That’s the Law. Jesus Christ is extending His Hand out to you asking you to simply Trust that He is who He says He is, and He’ll work out the rest of your life, forever. That’s Grace. That’s the Law, and Grace, leading to Salvation, for you to, Be Blessed.
