Daily Devotional. BE NOT DECEIVED: EVIL COMMUNICATIONS CORRUPT GOOD MANNERS. Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame. 1 Corinthians 15:33-34. Some deception is simply a result of misplaced Faith, that is, more faith in man than Faith in God. I’ll illustrate. Imagine a large building construction site with a big wooden fence around it. Your friend, whom you trust, says there is no way to see through the fence, at the work going on on the other side. You believe him and you both walk away ignorant of the Truth inside the fence. Or, you know there’s more to it and go searching for the Truth, and won’t stop looking until you find it. After a while you see a small point of light in the fence. When you get closer you see it’s a small knot hole in the fence. When you get very close and look through the hole, you can now see 1/2 the construction site and can daily watch progress as the building is built. Your friend told you the truth, as best he understood it. YOU SEARCHED FOR, AND FOUND THE TRUTH BECAUSE YOU WOULDN’T GIVE UP. Now you can share the Truth with your friend and end his deception. That small door and narrow path is that knot hole of Truth some people are looking for and won’t give up until they find it. They KNOW there is more, and search… for the Face of Christ. The Bible says it’s there, TO BE FOUND. Your search for Truth will move you away from deception. Don’t try to examine deception, just seek out Christ, The Truth, and HE will help you spot deception, when you need to see it, and see it through His Eyes. Seek Truth, share it with your neighbor, and you will both, Be Blessed.
