Daily Devotional. At that day shall a man look to his Maker, and his eyes shall have respect to the Holy One of Israel. [8] And he shall not look to the altars, the work of his hands, neither shall respect that which his fingers have made, either the groves, or the images. Isaiah 17:7-8. Verse 7 is about turning back to the Lord. Verse 8 is about turning away from idol worship. This is a small obscure little chapter in Isaiah about something back then. On the other hand, this is a huge chapter because THE GOD OF EVERYTHING, OUR CREATOR is again, in His Great Mercy, calling man to leave his handmade creation and turn back to THE GOD OF ALL CREATION. This has been God’s call to Man from the garden of Eden, all through the Bible, to today, to come back to the Lord. Jesus Great Commission, to go and Preach the Gospel and make Disciples of all nations, is very good, this is what we are commanded to do, AFTER WE GET RIGHT WITH THE LORD, (SALVATION), GET ANCHORED ON CHRIST THE ROCK, (LEARN WHO GOD IS), AND THEN MAKE DISCIPLES, TELLING THEM ABOUT WHO AND WHAT WE PERSONALLY KNOW, JESUS, THE CHRIST. Even the small, insignificant chapters of the Word of God scream out about His Mercy and Grace to everyone. If the whole bible could be summed up in two words, two simple little words, they would be, “KNOW CHRIST”. If you’ll do that, EVERYTHING else will properly fall into place. Everything. And the Battle continues. Satan has taken this simple command and wrapped it up in all kinds of layers of deception. So many that most people on this earth will never open their eyes to The Truth, and will die in their sins WILLINGLY, because they choose to keep their eyes closed to Christ and His Call on their life. Again, the Power of Deception, Broken by the Holy Spirit, Salvation, Be Blessed.
