To come up with lists of things we CAN’T do in church is just as dangerous as coming up with lists of things we CAN do in church. If we have to make up ANY lists, we’ve missed the mark altogether. If we make up a list of 10 things to do/don’t do, it will end up as a legalistic waste of time. Those who have a Heart for the Lord are already listening to Him and moving in Obedience. Those who don’t have a Heart for the Lord aren’t going to listen anyway. So why bother with lists either way? Because those who listen will be Encouraged to keep listening, and those who won’t listen will have your words testify against them on Judgment Day. There will be some who have never heard ANYTHING of what you’re talking about and may find they have an interest in the Things of the Lord. All the Laws and Ruled come down to just 2 Commandments. Love the Lord, and love your neighbor. It’s that simple. As you grow in love for God and neighbor, the Mind of Christ and CHRISTLIKENESS will start to fill you with Holiness, a separating from worldliness and moving towards Godliness. Your heart will change and Christ will reign. And with Christ reigning inside you, He brings a freedom in Himself that no law can touch. Christ came to free us from the Law and move us into freedom in Him. This is a place where lists go out the window and a Love to follow Christ, to obey Christ, surpasses everything. To OBEY Christ is not a chore or a have to, it is a Pure Joy to Follow Him. The Things He asks us to do are no longer, “a list”, but a Heart’s Cry to obey, and that desire is way more powerful than any “list” of do/don’t do, could ever be. Don’t live to follow a list, Live to Love Christ, and, Be Blessed.
