Daily Devotional. I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity (in the past); even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness. Romans 6:19. MY translation; “You used to sin in the past, now, don’t, and go for the Gold, Righteousness and Holiness”. This is a hard word, saying to go from recent sinner right into Righteousness and Holiness. It doesn’t say to take a 10 year break so you can mature and grow in the Lord, and THEN go for Holiness. It seems to be almost pushing the new covert straight into Holiness. Holiness is a day by day, obedience by obedience, long term process. And it will finish in heaven. Hold that thought a minute. MORNINGTIME is a commentary of how I read the Bible, try to understand what it means, and relay to you the urgency that the time is short and Holiness, Righteousness, and Purity is the Goal to go for at any and all expense. If it seems like I harp, beat to death, question, or encourage, the Things of Life, the things of death, church doings, or home doings, worldliness and Holiness, Satan and Christ, it’s all in a feeble attempt to get you to look at Christ, Seek His Face, learn to LOVE Him, and obey HIS WORD, FOR YOU TO MOVE ON INTO THE THINGS OF THE LORD. The best you can do is read the words I write, take them to the Lord, pray over them, and ask the Lord to reveal to you what HE wants you to understand. Don’t shoot the messenger, pray over the message. Please don’t even try to figure out my attitude. I’M still working on that one. Now, back to the verse, going for Holiness, Righteousness, and Purity. How much more do you want? Are you there, yet? Seek Christ, Alone, and, Be Blessed.
