Daily Devotional. And the same day, when the even was come, (Jesus) saith unto (His Disciples), LET US PASS OVER UNTO THE OTHER SIDE (of the lake). Mark 4:35. This is the story where Jesus says we are all going to the other side, no some, not a few, but all of us. This is a boat ride of all the disciples and Jesus. He makes a statement before they leave shore about ALL of them getting to the other side of the lake. They didn’t understand the Authority of His Command. (Jesus said it, and that settled it). Half way across the lake a big storm rises up to try to sink them, they get scared and wake up Christ Who is sleeping in the back of the boat, He tells the storm to be quiet, and all is calm. Hooray for Jesus, He does it again. Here’s what SHOULD have happened. They hear Jesus say, Let’s go to the other side. Hearing that they understand it to be an Authoritative Command and now KNOW that they all WILL get to the other side, (come Hell or high water), so let’s do it. The Big Storm comes up to try to sink their little boat, AND THE DISCIPLES SAY, PEACE BE STILL, in Jesus Name. The storm stops in obedience to The Master’s Name, they finish the trip and THEN wake up Christ to tell Him, “We’re here, and did you sleep well Master? Jesus is looking for anyone who can hear His Call, Know His Promises, AND BELIEVES THEM, AND IS WILLING TO ACT ON THEM IN TOTAL FAITH. It will take someone who studies The Word and knows how to hear and follow the leading of the Holy Spirit. Is this you? Do you have a heart for Christ, for hard work in the physical and spiritual life? To Battle all the way to the Glorious End, whatever that may be? Get your eyes off YOUR abilities to do His Work, and on to Christ to work His Work THROUGH YOU. Just be a willing vessel and trust Him to work out the details. Be a Willing Vessel and you WILL get to the Other Side, where you WILL, Be Blessed
