Daily Devotional- MORNINGTIME 1846

Daily Devotional. But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. Acts 1:8. This either comes under the heading of, beating up on a golden cow, or, splitting a hair, or, say what you mean and mean what you say. Either way, let’s jump in and see where this goes. This is the verse many people in church like to use when you ask them, “What is the most important job a Christian has”? It’s admirable to say we want to go out and save the world. So where does that leave you if, “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, AND LOSE HIS OWN SOUL”? Mark 8:36. The job done was commendable, but you died and went to Hell. That’s not so good. So how’s this for a Christian’s first “job”? And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: THIS IS THE FIRST COMMANDMENT. Mark 12:30. That means first, foremost, most important, above all else, until you do this, NOTHING ELSE MATTERS. If you aren’t prepared, knowledgeable, and well informed about Who God Is, how can you explain to someone else, that which you don’t understand??? Remember, the Holy Spirit ONLY Saves, not you. You will Live, or Die, on your own understanding. You must have SOME understanding about the Lord so that you can AT LEAST stand up to the wiles of the devil. If you don’t know your enemy, what are you fighting? If ALL YOU DO is visit someone, get them to repeat your little prayer, pronounce them saved, and leave, YOU’RE AS LOST AS THEY ARE!!! PLEASE, seek the face of Christ first, learn His Voice, and wait for HIM to send you out, when HE’S ready. Then you BOTH will, Be Blessed.
