Daily Devotional. Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. Luke 16:29. A dead man was asking father Abraham to send back someone from the dead to witness to the dead man’s 5 brothers. Abraham’s response was the verse above. So what about Moses and the prophet? What about their lives? Some of them, “saw” the Lord, did many mighty miracles, had some, one on one conversations with the Lord, battled with terrible odds against them, and won the battle anyway, and found a joy and peace in the Lord that was available nowhere else. The Lord is willing to pour out from the Windows of Heaven all that we can handle, and even more, if we will just trust and obey. Right now in America, times are still relatively easy and we can choose to follow the Lord, or not. If we are willing to ask, and obey, there’s no telling what kind of things the Lord will let us see. He’s just looking for someone to ask him to show them His Glory. It may be somewhere between a beautiful sunrise, to seeing the back of the Lord. This is only possible if you are looking for a deep relationship with the Lord, ON HIS TERMS. A “gimme your Holy Fire”, doesn’t cut it. It’s more like, “Lord, may I have EVERYTHING Christ died for, for me, on the Cross of Calvary, that I may come to Know You as You desire me to know You”? Look at the Relationship Moses and the Prophets had with the Lord. It’s ALL ABOUT Relationship. Love the Lord, Love your neighbor, Love yourself, it’s all about relationship. Don’t set your eyes on miracles, set them on Christ. Then He can do Miracles you’re NOT looking for. It’s always nice to find what you’re not looking for. So look at Christ, and, Be Blessed.
