Daily Devotional. For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I WILL PUT MY LAWS INTO THEIR MIND, AND WRITE THEM IN THEIR HEARTS: AND I WILL BE TO THEM A GOD, AND THEY SHALL BE TO ME A PEOPLE: And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more. Hebrews 8:10-12. Yup, this sure sounds good, God’s gonna put His Word in our heads and hearts, that sounds like a good deal to me!!! An attitude like that should put the Fear of God into you. Why? Just look at the responsibility you will have if God Himself put His Word inside YOU. Do you think it’s going to be allowed to sit dormant inside you for the rest of your life??? Of all the wonderful stories, parables, concepts, and precepts the Bible is so full of, the more HE puts inside you, THE MORE HE’S GOING TO REQUIRE OF YOU. His Word in your heart won’t stay there long. It’s coming out to be heard by other people for their Salvation, or Encouragement, or something, but it’s not going to be kept quiet inside you. It’ll sit and fester like a fire in your bones, and pretty soon, it’s coming out because you CAN’T keep quiet. Are you quiet now? Do you have the Word hidden in your heart? Is it easy, or hard, to keep quiet about what the Lord has done to and through you? Do you share Christ daily? Or is it easy to be quiet? It’s a serious thing to have His Word in you, and do nothing with it. It’s the same thing, can you put God in a box and leave Him there? Can you put His Word in your heart, and leave it there also? Consider this carefully, and, Be Blessed.
