Daily Devotional. Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me. Yea, and ALL THAT WILL LIVE GODLY IN CHRIST JESUS SHALL SUFFER PERSECUTION. 2 Timothy 3:11-12. Persecution: In any way whatever to harass, trouble, molest one to persecute, to be mistreated, suffer persecution on account of something. Somehow this just doesn’t sound like the standard fare “Prosperity Gospel” so many preachers today find so easy to preach, you know, a new car in every driveway stuff. The Word doesn’t just say persecution comes from the world against the Believer, it also tells us that people inside the 4 walls grassy front yard church will be persecuting Believers. Remember the Scribes and Pharisees doing their best to get Christ crucified? It’s no different today. Those same people, the worldly people inside the church, will be shutting down Believers every chance they get. The World is full of ungodly people. The (4 walls) church is full of RELIGIOUS, ungodly people. The only ones left will be the Believers, the Followers of Christ, the Redeemed, those Saved. They will Fellowship together to encourage each other, as they continue to go out and witness to a dead and dying world. If you are HIS, you will NOT escape persecution. So just get ready, the Holy Spirit will teach each one of us how to prepare. What part of “Trouble’s looking for you” do you not understand? Remember, tribulation builds Patience, do you need to grow in more patience, or do you have enough? See the sign, “Grow in Patience, sign up here”?
