Daily Devotional. Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. AND IF THE BLIND LEAD THE BLIND, both shall fall into the ditch. Matthew 15:14. This is a strong verse to ask a question about a concept that is seldom talked about in church, ANY church. If you walk with a blind man and ask him how he’s doing, he may tell you he’s doing fine. That’s ok. His answer really means, I’m doing fine with all I understand and comprehend. His “vision” of Life is ONLY as far as he can “see”. A MAN with 20/20 vision may be able to see, understand, and comprehend a bigger picture than the blind man but he still has his own limitations. So if we ask each other how we’re doing, our answer is limited for each one of us to our understanding. We each see a small part of life, and when compared with others, we may understand more, but we’re still limited. So to talk among ourselves about how well we’re doing in church, (ANY church), is still “*” THE BLIND LEADING THE BLIND. “*” = human to human comparison and conversation. For a person, preacher, or whole congregation to go into prayer before the Lord and ask HIM, how we’re doing, may be a totally different answer. Case in point, the 7 churches in Revelation. I’m not saying all preachers are blind, I’m saying we are ALL BLIND if we compare ourselves TO ourselves, and leave out the Lord. The “trouble” starts when we ask the Lord to show us what He sees about us. Are we willing to ask? And if so, are we willing to change anything the Lord reveals to us? Is anyone willing to Completely Surrender to the Lord? To give up everything and give it ALL to the Lord? That’s a hard one. That’s the Best one. That’s the Only one. Let Christ be your All in All, and with that, you will, Be Blessed.
