Daily Devotional. As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance: But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, BE YE HOLY; FOR I AM HOLY. 1 Peter 1:14-16. And straightway he (Jesus) constrained his disciples to get into the ship, and to go to the other side (of the sea) before (Him) unto Bethsaida, while he sent away the people. Mark 6:45. The story goes on to say that the disciples weren’t making any headway because the wind and the waves were against them, until Jesus came walking on the scene. Here’s my point. Jesus said “GO”, to a specific place and “the world” was against them. They couldn’t do it of their own strength. But with Christ, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE. (Is this foolishness, or, Faith, you decide). God said, BE YE HOLY. That is a command for us, here on this earth, to obey. Only in and through Christ can this be done. BUT IT CAN BE DONE. I do not know how much, or to what degree of Holiness the Lord is calling me, (you, us) to, BUT I AM NOT WILLING TO LEAVE THIS EARTH AND GO HOME UNTIL THE LORD ACCOMPLISHES WHATEVER AMOUNT OF HOLINESS IN ME HE HAS DETERMINED. He said BE HOLY, and I say Amen, So Be It. I’m tired of hearing people say, “We’re only human”, or, “We’ll never reach perfection on this side”. So take your faithless unbelieving excuses and go Home. We are ALL called to CHRISTLIKENESS, so away with the “human” excuse. Can we make 50%, 75%, 99% Perfection? I don’t know, so I’m going for the Gold, 100%, and leave it to the Lord to tell me I can’t, “It doesn’t work that way, sorry, that’s not for you”. Until then Faith says yes. We are kept by The God Who does the impossible, Believe for the impossible. You got a better idea? Is this too Heavenly Minded? Was Christ? Do you want to be like Him, or not? Can you too Believe, and, Be Blessed?
