Daily Devotional. And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, WHEREBY YE ARE SEALED unto the day of redemption. Ephesians 4:30. Let’s try this as an illustration. God decided to build everything, and Christ got to do the building. Jesus made everything in creation in 6 days and rested on the 7th. And yes, the Holy Spirit was there too. Man messed up a GOoD thing and sin ran rampant across the face of the earth. Except for a relatively few God seekers, most died and went to Hell. The system of forgiveness, the Old Testament way, was to show man that they couldn’t make it without the Lord. Man still didn’t get it. Christ steps up and says, “I’ll pay the Price for their sins so they can come in and directly ask for Forgiveness”. That being done, it now falls to the Holy Spirit to take these new Repentant Converts to clean them up, purify them, teach them Holiness, Righteousness, and Purity, that they may Walk in CHRISTLIKENESS. Here’s where the wheels fall off the wagon. Generally preachers preach of a Loving God who wants you to come to heaven and tell you that Christ made a way. Bingo, say the prayer, and you’re in. Welcome to the Lord Lord People. They “got saved”, follow a loving god who doesn’t ask much of them, and say thank you Jesus, as they work their way straight into Hell. NOBODY TOLD THEM THE HOLY SPIRIT WOULD PREPARE THEM TO MEET CHRIST. Sadly, they’re not ready and you can’t tell them otherwise. Satan has given the church such a fear of the Holy Spirit, almost no one wants to talk about Him. THE HOLY SPIRIT, THE SPIRIT OF GOD, IS THE HOLINESS, RIGHTEOUSNESS, AND PURITY OF GOD THAT CHRIST PAID FOR, FOR YOU TO GO TO HEAVEN. Yes, Jesus Saves, but the Holy Spirit is The One Who changes you to be like Christ, and not the world. Call on the Holy Spirit, ask Him to change you and, Be Blessed.
