Daily Devotional. AND GRIEVE NOT THE HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. Ephesians 4:30. Grieved, griev•ing. To feel grief or great sorrow. If the Holy Spirit is just some fuzzy thing floating around out there, who cares what he, it, or whatever you want to call him, thinks about anything. Face it, if he’s not worth listening to about anything, than don’t listen. What use is a warm fuzzy if that’s all it’s good for? Lots of people get the warm fuzzies during church, because that’s all their holy spirit can give them, warm fuzzies. Sometimes, after a catchy song is played where the words make no biblical sense at all, some get the warm fuzzies and say the holy spirit is here. Nothing else happens, but they’ll tell you the holy spirit is here. That’s all they understand the holy spirit to be. IF THE HOLY SPIRIT EVER SHOWED UP DURING ANY PAT OF A CHURCH SERVICE, HALF THE PEOPLE WOULD BE ON THE FLOOR DIGGING A HOLE THROUGH THE CARPET, AND THE OTHER HALF WOULD BE RUNNING OUT THE DOOR, WHETHER IT’S OPEN OR NOT. Any time the Holy Spirit shows up in the Bible, there is Repentance like we’ve never seen here, anguish of heart, and Power to be about the Father’s Business. The Holy Spirit doesn’t fool around. When He shows up, FLESH HAS TO LEAVE. Repentance in the Holy Spirit is, “Lord take my awful wretchedness out of me, crucify my flesh, wash away my filth”. Or else, when the Holy Spirit shows up, flesh AND the goat in that flesh have to leave. Being in the Presence of Holiness with your face in the floor barely starts to describe His Presence. HE IS THE SPIRIT OF GOD AND HE IS HOLY. He is NOT some trinity pipsqueak handing out warm fuzzies. Do you even talk to the Holy Spirit? He is your Teacher and Comforter, TALK TO HIM. He has a lot He wants to teach you, show you, change you, and bless you. HE IS THE POWER OF GOD, things happen in His Presence. Meet HIM, and you WILL, Be Blessed.
