Do you listen to christian radio, or christian videos, and find the tunes catchy, foot tapers, get stuck in your head kind of music? Ever get a little emotional when you hear this stuff? I say stuff because much of the time, if you will sit down and study the words, study the lives of the singer’s, and study the Bible, and then start to compare them to each other, VERY OFTEN, things just don’t line up. Read the words, the lyrics, of the songs. You can be hard pressed to find a Biblical Truth anywhere in the song. Many times, even the words in a line don’t make any sense. DON’T YOU DARE CHEAPEN THE GOSPEL BY SAYING, THIS IS WHAT THE KIDS ARE LISTENING TO, AND WE HAVE TO PLAY IT IF WE’RE GOING TO REACH THEM. Don’t worry, you can’t cheapen the Gospel. If you can’t find it in The Bible, you’re feeding them another gospel and another christ. The Gospel, The Music, and The Words in the Music, will all flow together and THEN, the Holy Spirit will witness to it. And it won’t be the emotional fuzzies. When He shows up, HE BRINGS CONVICTION. When you sing a song and the words don’t line up with THE WORD, the warm fuzzies you’re feeling AREN’T FROM THE LORD. Satan doesn’t care about secular music, he already has them. He wants to pervert good Godly music into ungodly stuff. And he’s a Master at it. Just listen to some of the stuff IN CHURCHES these days. No, I’m not just picking on secular humanist christian music, I want to drive it into the ground, back to the Hell it came from. But alas, that isn’t going to happen. Too many christians like the stuff. If it’ll keep the kids in church, most pastors are happy, whatever it takes. Kids come and go, like the waves of the sea. The Sheep get hungry, and look elsewhere for food. Feed the Sheep Pastor, and leave the goats alone. Preach Food, and, Be Blessed.
