Daily Devotional- MORNINGTIME 1631

Daily Devotional. I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. Philippians 4:12. Abased, is to be in need. Abound, is to be full, to even have extra to share. Paul is telling us that no matter what is going on in his life, he will be content because Christ will meet all his needs, whether he’s hungry, or well fed, Christ is his source and whatever Christ decides Paul needs, is ok with Paul. Paul understood that He may, or may not, have a roof over his head. He may, or he may not, have a meal before him. He was content to trust Christ in ALL things, whatever it would take to grow Paul into CHRISTLIKENESS that others would see Christ in Paul. This same lesson applies to us today. Are we following Christ while life is good? Will we follow Christ when everything goes crazy? Your church van crashes and 15 Prominent church members die, will you still worship the Lord? Police come to your house and arrest you for molesting children, will you still praise the Lord IN ALL THINGS? Your wife leaves for another woman, and takes the kids, is Christ still YOUR EVERYTHING? I asked a friend, a (c)Christian, “If a man puts a gun to your wife’s head and tells you, Deny Christ or she dies, what would you do”? He quickly answered, “I’d deny Him in a heartbeat”. It was so easy for him to say. Can you Deny Him, if a just right situation came your way? Would it be easy, or hard, to deny Him? There are a hundred scenarios we could talk about. WOULD YOU DENY CHRIST FOR EVEN 1 OF THEM??? Falling “away” from Christ is getting easier and easier. Just ask the Lord Lord people in your church. A little trouble and they’ll drop Christ like a hot potato. Can you abound in Christ in the face of death and destruction? You just might get your chance. Follow Christ at ALL times, and, Be Blessed.
