Daily Devotional – MORNINGTIME 1611

Daily Devotional. But SEEK YE FIRST the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:33. Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. Quench not the Spirit. Despise not prophesying’s. Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. Abstain from all appearance of evil. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-22. Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. 1 Peter 1:16. These are just a few of the “Thou shalt, Thou shalt not”, list. With so many things to do or not do, how can anyone still find time to seek after worldly things? THAT’S EXACTLY THE QUESTION!!! The Lord has so many things He wants to show you, teach you, encourage you, and bless you, which one of His Things do you want to skip and tell Him you just don’t have enough time in your busy day to find all the things He has to share? So try a little reality check, if you have a few minutes. How many things of the world do you seek out in a days’ time, versus, how many of the Things of the Lord do you equally seek out during the same day? Only you will know your answer so be honest in your assessment of your Godly/worldly day, that is if “honesty” of the Things of the Lord is still sought after. (That might be in your “not time for” list?). Seriously, if you are willingly lacking in seeking out the Things of the Lord, what will you possibly say when He asks you, “WHY NOT”??? Right now is a really good time to practice useless answers, that is until reality/conviction sets in and you ask the Holy Spirit to change your ways, to His Ways. Whatever you think you’ll be missing with less worldliness, will more than be made up for with CHRISTLIKENESS. This is not, give up this and you’ll get that, this is give up the things of the world, AND GET CHRIST. HE IS EVERYTHING. This little list of verses are just a few of His Attributes He wants to instill in you. Be Instilled, Be Blessed.
