Daily Devotional. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord , thoughts of peace, and not of evil, Jeremiah 29:11. Again, let’s look at this as a promise to people who were in 70 years of captivity in the hands of an abusive enemy. The Jews had greatly sinned against the Lord and it took 70 years to clean out the Garbage before they finally looked towards the Lord as their Saviour and Redeemer. The Lord made this promise to them to let them know He had good thoughts for them, and their rebellion and suffering would come to an end. This was a promise for them, not you…. UNLESS, you want to be put in the same boat as them, to be a captive under the Thumb of the Lord. I’ll explain. They were rebellious and Forced to stop. It took 70 years. Have you yet come to the place of understanding you still have some rebellion in you? Would you like to willingly run to the Lord and ask Him to clean you up, Purify you, and draw you into CHRISTLIKENESS? Have you seen Christ and desire Him more than you desire you and your ways? Will you ask Him to slice and dice you, whatever it takes to get the rot out? Do you trust Him enough to ask Him to do Anything and Everything He deems necessary to prepare you to be a part of the Bride of Christ? Will you even Rejoice in the midst of your trials and suffering because you Fully Know it is ALL for your good? How much JOY does it bring the Lord when you run up to Him and say, Daddy, I’m a mess, will you clean me up and make me into a vessel suitable for Your Purposes? Will You do whatever You need to, to make me like Your Son, my Savior, Jesus, The Christ? You’re not a captive being made to change, you’re His, Desiring to change. Is this You? If so, then ALL the good Promises in the Bible are yours, every last one of them. Study the Word, dig out the Promises, show them to the Lord, AND CLAIM THEM ALL FOR YOU, and you will, Be Blessed.
