Daily Devotional. For Herod feared John, knowing that he was a just man and an holy, and observed him; and when he heard him, he did many things, and heard him gladly. And immediately the king sent an executioner, and commanded his head to be brought: and he went and beheaded him (John the Baptist) in the prison, Mark 6:20, 27. A Just and Holy man dies at the hands of men. Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him. And, behold, the angel of the Lord came upon him , and a light shined in the prison: and he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands. When they were past the first and the second ward, they came unto the iron gate that leadeth unto the city; which opened to them of his own accord: and they went out, and passed on through one street; and forthwith the angel departed from him. Acts 12:5, 7, 10. A Just and Holy man is released from the hands of men. Both of these men were Obediently about the Work of the Lord. Both ended up in prison. One lived, one died. Is God unfair? Is He unjust? Does He have favorites? NO, God is GOD and if you will Trust Him COMPLETELY, you will always walk away VICTORIOUS. You will walk Victoriously on this side, or The Other Side. Either way, you WIN. You will never loose when you leave you in the Lord’s Hands. If you can simply Trust the Lord with Everything, He WILL take care of EVERYTHING. This is NOT, Whatever will be, will be. This is, Lord, You take care of me any way You want to because You have it all worked out and know what is Best, I’m in your Hands, and I WILL, Be Blessed.
