Daily Devotional – MORNINGTIME 1577

Daily Devotional. Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, AND SHEW MY PEOPLE THEIR TRANSGRESSION, and the house of Jacob their sins. Isaiah 58:1. There is a two-fold purpose going on here under the heading of “My People”. First, let’s apply this to the church, both of them, one being the Body of Christ, and the other being the 4 walls grassy front yard building full of the unsaved and the Body of Christ. We Believers are to cry aloud when we see sin in the ranks. Yes, there is a proper Biblical way to do this. The Believers will at least listen and pray about it, the un-believers will pay it no attention. Like a Watchman on the wall, you at least have to try to warn them. Any disregard to a Biblical warning not heeded is on their head. This covers Believers and un-believers in the church. The second purpose is to go out into the highways and byways and hedges to talk to people about the Lord, show them (by the Holy Spirit) their “lostness”, the need for Christ in their life, and maybe even bring some of them to Salvation. So just how are the un-saved considered “My People”? That’s easy. The Lord knows ALL who are and WILL BE His, even BEFORE they were born. Our job is to preach the gospel to ALL, and leave the results to the Holy Spirit. No, not all will come to Christ, but those who are His, will. In our “beginning” we were all dead men walking and someone took the time to tell us about Christ and our sin need for Him. He already knew us as His, we just had to walk it out and Follow Him. Show the churched, the un-churched, the Saved, the sinners, any and all combinations of them, their sins, and watch His hear, heed, and rejoice in “The Call” to follow Him Who knew them, before they ever were. Call, Cry Aloud, and, Be Blessed.
