Daily Devotional. And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for MANY SHALL COME IN MY NAME, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them. Luke 21:8. Another illustration. (When this sound legalistic, take it with a grain of salt). Apply the Words, ” MANY SHALL COME IN MY NAME”, to ANYTHING that you look to for help. Do you look to unemployment insurance when your job quits, or to health insurance when you need a doctor, or to the government politician running for office because he says he’s going to make everything better? Or to the stock market to ensure your future? Yes, these things are all nice to have and the Lord uses many things to bless His people. But if any, or all these things dried up overnight and were no more, would you wake up the next morning really angry, crying the blues, shaking your fist at God and demanding, “Why are you doing this to me, what have I ever done to offend You”? Or would you wake up, hear the news, and say, “Thank You Lord, I know You have everything under control and have nothing but Your Best for me today, so let’s do this Your Way, Your Will Be Done, in Jesus Name, Amen”? Which one are you? Or are you somewhere in between? Someday, all the props, sticks, and supports we have been leaning on are going to be kicked out from under us and it’s only going to be, “Christ and me”, and NOTHING else. Will we be ready? “Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, SHALL HE FIND FAITH on the earth”? Luke 18:8. People of many nations, peoples, and cultures are already at this place so this is nothing new, it just hasn’t come to America, yet. Many Christians here are preparing their Faith, Obedience, and Boldness, so when That Day comes, their Life in Christ will continue on as usual. They are Prepared, and they will, Be Blessed.
