Daily Devotional. If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Colossians 3:1. Trusting Christ is good. When a sheep looks at his shepherd and SAYS, “I will trust you with my Life, you may do with me as you wish”, that’s good. But when the sheep trusts the Shepherd so completely, so fully, so perfectly, that he can climb up into the Shepherd’s lap, KNOWING that the Shepherd will feed, water, and if so desired by the Shepherd, cut his throat open as a needed sacrifice, AND GO TO SLEEP KNOWING THAT WHATEVER THE SHEPHERD DECIDES, IT WILL BE A PERFECT DECISION, that is what resting in Christ is. Trusting Christ to take care of you and be able to use you, and do with you, ANYTHING He wants to, any way, and any time He wants to, because He Knows Best. Part of Resting in Christ includes a Joyful, Peaceful, total Obedience to the Will of the Lord anytime and everytime He directs you to do something. His requests to you are custom tailored to your exact, specific, needs to grow you towards CHRISTLIKENESS. No two people are the same, and no two walks are the same. We may not Judge each other’s walk and heart attitude, but we can encourage a closer walk if the Lord reveals something He wants to work on. We are all in this together and have to all pull in the same direction. If we all seek the Mind of Christ, we WILL all receive the Mind of Christ. That’s Unity, all heading for CHRISTLIKENESS. When we get our eyes off Christ and problems start to crop up, the Bible has its Procedures on how to deal with these things. Do you have a Heart Attitude to Follow Christ, no matter what? Yes, Christ Paid for It All, and it WILL cost you EVERYTHING. Because you don’t need any of it to Follow Him, to Seek His Face, to snuggle up in His Lap, and fall asleep, resting in Him, where you will, Be Blessed.
