Daily Devotional. If ye then be RISEN WITH CHRIST, SEEK those things which are above, where CHRIST sitteth on the right hand of God. Colossians 3:1. We’re going for Simplicity in Christ, a place very few people talk about. It is a place where nothing is required of you, and you can do nothing to help. You can do NOTHING to help Christ accomplish only what He can accomplish. Think about it, if you could help Christ, it could end up that you maybe don’t need Christ. Do it yourself, don’t need Christ, and finally, I’ll save myself by my ways and methods, I’m a little god unto myself. This is what “works based” religion does, it tells you things you can do or need to do, to get to heaven. ALL RELIGIONS AND DENOMINATIONS DO THIS. THEY ALL HAVE THERE OWN LITTLE SLANT ON WHAT YOU NEED TO DO TO PLEASE THEIR god. ALL OF THEM!!!!! Only Christ says, Be Still, I’ve done it all, Rest in Me, I’ll take care of you fully and completely, from now on, and throughout all of eternity. It is almost too complicated a concept for many people to understand, Do nothing, say nothing, and bring nothing, to Christ. What part of NOTHING do you not understand? So what does Christ require of you? Only Obedience, just obedience, full and complete obedience, and total Obedience. What, you can’t do this one simple requirement, Obedience? No one can. That’s why the Holy Spirit was sent here to help us, teach us, comfort us, to bring us into CHRISTLIKENESS, to teach us how to Rest in Him, preparing us to be a part of the Bride of Christ. A Bride with NO spots, no blemishes, and no wrinkles. (With this kind of Work to do, you still think you can help?) ONLY God can do this, don’t try to help, and, Be Blessed.
