Daily Devotional- MORNINGTIME 1934

Daily Devotional. Nevertheless I (Christ) have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love (Me). Revelation 2:4. Many people in the 4 walls church today think that Salvation is a prayer the Preacher says to pray, a most sincere heart while saying it, and then join the church to prove it. And the icing on the cake is, go tell others. Generally, that’s the best the church knows to do, because that’s pretty much what THEY’VE been told to do. In reality, this is about as far as most churches are willing to go, because if they preached any further, people would start leaving the church, not staying where there could be questions, or doubts. Nobody wants their “salvation” challenged, and nobody wants to challenge someone’s salvation. “If you don’t question me, I won’t question you”, and with that there is an uneasy peace over them. Christ isn’t just Someone you meet and give Him a really warm solid handshake, and then tell Him, “I’ve got a little more Living to do, as soon as I’m done, I’ll be right back and we can talk the serious stuff”. When you meet a king, you NEVER turn your back to him, you leave the room facing the king. But these days, when you meet christ, the king of kings, have a little meet and greet, AND EXCUSE YOURSELF, YOU HAVE SOMETHING, OR SOMEONE, BETTER TO DO, YOU HAVEN’T MET CHRIST!! A Follower of Christ will never turn his back on Christ. And if he did, as soon as he understood his crime, he would be on his knees begging Forgiveness. This isn’t because Christ “will get him”, it’s because the sinner disrespected his King. To Love Christ is to meet Him, and never turn away. The danger is, if you do Meet Christ, and DO turn away, you might not come back. If you turn away, it’s because something else has caught your eye. You see Christ, supposedly, AND YOU TURN TO LOOK AT ANOTHER??? Right now, either you’ve never really meet Christ, OR YOU’VE LOST YOUR FIRST LOVE. Quick, turn and RUN to Christ, then you will, Be Blessed.
