Daily Devotional. And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and the same man was just and devout, WAITING FOR THE CONSOLATION, (Christ), of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him. And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord’s Christ. And he came by the Spirit into the temple: and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him after the custom of the law, Then took he him up in his arms, and blessed God, and said, Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word: FOR MINE EYES HAVE SEEN THY SALVATION, Luke 2:25-30. Simeon was a man who studied the Scriptures and knew that someday, God would send The Messiah, The Christ, to Israel. But he didn’t know when. For whatever Merciful Reason, God told Simeon he would not die until he had seen the Messiah. Jesus was born and 40 days later Joseph and Mary went to the Temple to Present Christ to the Lord. By the leading of the Holy Spirit, Simeon was there and recognized the Christ Child. The Promise to him was fulfilled. The Bible, in some form or another, (print, audio etc.), is available to almost everyone in the world. And this time, it plainly states that Christ IS coming back and for His Followers to prepare, look for, AND BE READY to meet Him very soon. He’s coming back as The Conquering King to Receive His Pure, Spotless, and Prepared Bride who lives in Holiness, Righteousness, and Purity, LOOKING FOR HER BRIDEGROOM. There will be no second chances, no do-overs for anyone not ready when He does show up. Half ready, sort of ready, I was thinking about it ready, IS TOO LATE. Are you doing all you can NOW to get ready? If not, will you be found lacking and fall short? Don’t gamble your eternity on, “I hope so”, TALK TO CHRIST NOW, ASK HIM WHAT HIS DEFINITION OF “READY” IS. Your definition may miss the mark. Don’t finish this life with, “Well, I was close”, only Perfection is a direct hit. Be Perfect, Be Blessed
