Daily Devotional. And be ready in the morning, and COME UP in the morning unto mount Sinai, and present thyself, (Moses), there TO ME, (The Lord), in the top of the mount. Exodus 34:2. God lives in Heaven, but on those rare times when He actually comes down to talk to man “face to Face”, He keeps to the high ground. Yes, one time He ate dinner in the desert with Moses and the 70 Elders of Israel. THAT was an impressive sight. But usually, He’s up on a mountain talking with someone. My point is this. The earth is generally a pretty nasty place. God had already Walked this earth, as a man, by the Name of Jesus, The Christ. He lived and walked among man to show man the Way to Heaven. It was a 3 1/2 year Journey, and He changed the world. Towards the End, man is going to fall to such depths of depravity and sin, that it will be as bad as the Days of Noah. It was really rough, and we’re heading there, again, very fast. Today, when a man gets Saved, the only thing he can do is, Go Up. He has to aim for higher goals in life, set a higher standard to go for, “Cheer Up”, “Things are looking up”, “I get up with the Lord every morning”, as examples of common clichés. But when a Christian starts looking for the Lord, he has nowhere to look BUT up. The Lord’s Thoughts and Ways are way above man’s ways, striving towards Perfection, and how high up are Holiness, Righteousness, and Purity? God’s done His Part for coming down to man’s level, now the only thing (Saved) man can do is raise EVERYTHING he can say or do UP to God’s Level. As you strive for Higher In Christ, you become a higher target for a dying world to shoot at. Your Christian standing will be “head and shoulders, knees and toes” above humanity. You’re not Better than them, just Forgiven and Saved. That way, you WILL, Be Blessed.
