Daily Devotional. Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1. Here is A way to build your Faith. This is NOT a simple, “I’ll read my Bible for 10 minutes a day, that should do it” thing to do. This may be a long haul up and down the mountain a few times, and I Promise you, it WILL be worth it. Turn to Psalm 91 and read it S L O W E L Y, one verse at a time, for about 10 times. Chew on each word as if it were a tasty tidbit. Study each sentence very carefully and do a word study of each and every key word in the sentence. And each time you read a few words, ask the Holy Spirit what it means. Look at the times of day it’s talking about. Look at the locations of where it’s talking about. And look at who it’s talking about. Put all those things together and you’ve got way more than just a good story. No, you’ll see Life, and Christ, and no fear, and Faith Building, and Greater Understanding of Who God Is, and what Faith is, and what God wants to do with and for, you. This is a REAL Faith Builder. Here’s a little sample of a Goodie served up, if you would like to try this. Read Psalm 91 as if you were sitting in a large auditorium with hundreds of people all watching and listening to the CEO tell you all about the company and what it will do for you as an employee. That’s verses 1 to 13. Verses 14 to 16 are like the OWNER of the company putting his arm around the CEO and saying, “Everything he said is true, I GUARANTEE IT, I STAMP MY NAME ON EVERYTHING HE SAID, AND MORE!!! Now, change it to King David, verses 1-13, and The Lord putting His Arm around King David, verses 14-16. No, you won’t get this all done in one day, you’ll work on it a little EVERY DAY. It’s like eating a Feast, you should savor every bite. It’s a Real Faith Builder. Do this with a Hunger for God in your Heart, and you WILL, Be Blessed.
