Daily Devotional. STUDY to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15. Why would God tell us to “study”, and not give us any clear instructions as to how? I mean, the paperwork is there but it isn’t very specific as to how to study. There are no definitive guidelines as to what you have to do or exactly how you should do it. You could go off in a hundred different directions and still be within these very vague instructions as to what would be pleasing to the Lord when studying. Well hey, as far as the bible goes, ANYBODY could study the Word. There are no age requirements, no diplomas, no denominational requirements, nothing to stop anyone from studying. Then, that means EVERYONE can study? If that’s the case, than it also means that everyone SHOULD study? And if that’s the case, THAN NO-ONE HAS AN EXCUSE NOT TO STUDY!!! So if all this is true, every single person on the planet has orders from God Himself to study the Word of God with no excuses accepted. To the sinner, only the Word of God can save them. To the Saved, only the Word of God can guide them into a deeper Walk with the Lord. So, no PhD, no sheepskin, no seminary, no schooling, no class room activities, CAN TEACH YOU ABOUT THE LORD. (Read carefully). Only The Bible, The Gospel, The Word of God, administered by the Holy Spirit into man’s spirit can bring Life into a dead man, and more life into a saved man. ALL THESE OTHER THINGS AND “PLACES OF HIGHER LEARNING” CAN ONLY TRY TO REHASH WHAT THE HOLY SPIRIT HAS BEEN TEACHING FOR OVER 2000 YEARS.
