Daily Devotional. IN THE BEGINNING God created the heaven and the earth. Genesis 1:1. What a most Wonder-Full way to start your day, with God! It’s so sad to see so many people who don’t know the Truth about Creation and have fallen for the evolution lie. Let’s try this same statement from a different angle. Man is so desperate to throw God out that he will come up with nothing, to explain everything. You can’t get any more desperate than that. Ok, a few ground rules. We ALL started off as walking dead men heading for Hell. Those who find Christ are growing in Him as they learn The Truth. When Christ says to study the Word, He’s saying Study Him, Be like Him, Desire to grow and know Who He Is. A Christian will have an insatiable hunger for all that Christ will give him. A Christian will use any excuse to Grow in Christ. Show him an error in his life and he will change his ways. Show him the Truth of Genesis 1:1, and he will drop his faith in evolution. On the other hand, one who denies God in one thing, will deny God in everything. I know it’s not as cut and dried as it sounds, I’m trying to make a generalized comparison of the Creation-evolution discussion. Can a Christian believe in Evolution, and still be a Christian? That’s the wrong question. Evolution is not a make or break question of salvation. The real question is, Do you have a Heart to Believe everything Christ says about anything, even if you don’t understand? Is His Word good enough to blindly accept, however He says it? To go deeper, Do you believe everything Christ says, or do you have the right to pick and choose what you agree with, and throw aside what you don’t agree with? Do you have a list of “Agree With”, “Disagree With,” with in your Bible? How long can your “Disagree With” list be and still call yourself a Christian? Are you solidly In Christ, or are you sliding ever so slightly? Check yourself, and, Be Blessed.
