Daily Devotional. That this is a rebellious people, lying children, children that will not hear the law of the Lord: Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits: Get you out of the way, turn aside out of the path, CAUSE THE HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL TO CEASE FROM BEFORE US. Isaiah 30:9-11. Think of these verses as building to a crescendo. The words start off fairly lite, “Don’t spend much time reading the word”, to an angry, “We don’t want Christ here”. At church it can start out with an easy message and a good offering plate. This is where money shows the preacher what kind of sermon the people like. The angry part is like the head of the deacons telling the pastor, “People are upset with your preaching lately, you’ll have to tone it down, or we’ll have to find us a preacher who will”. Apostatize your preaching and stay, or Preach the Word of God, and go. It is so very easy to NOT, and much harder to DO. Apostasy is simple the result of not moving on into the things the Lord is calling you into. He says to move forward 5 feet, and you only move 3. Will that send you to Hell? No, but a lifetime if this attitude will. You’re driving down a straight, level road at 60 and take your foot off the gas and coast. From one second to the next, you hardly notice any change. Only when you compare 60 to what you’re doing now, will you notice the difference. ONLY when you compare you to The Holy Word of God, will you notice any difference. ONLY through the word can you compare your past, to present. Remember the frog in the heating water story? Is that you steeping in growing apostasy, and you haven’t yet noticed? NOTICE, talk to the Lord, Repent, and Be Blessed.
