That this is a rebellious people, lying children, children that Will NOT HEAR the law of the Lord: Which say to the seers, SEE NOT; and to the prophets, PROPHESY NOT unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, PROPHESY DECEITS: Get you out of the way, turn aside out of the path, cause the Holy One of Israel (Christ) to CEASE FROM BEFORE US. Isaiah 30:9-11. Apostasy; Abandonment of one’s religious faith. Apostasy is already here, like a small leak in a dam. As the leak grows, the restraining power of the dam lessens until finally, the leak, The Apostasy, wins. Understand, apostasy is very subtle, it’s a trap of the enemy and it ever so slowly leaks its way into the (general) church. It starts out by reading the word at home, a little less. Saying Grace at mealtime, a little less, going to church, a little less, talking about The Word, a little less. It’s always, a little less. Oh yes, there can be a dramatic change, one of your children suddenly dies, “Oh God, why did You do this, You’re so unfair, I HATE YOU”. But sneaky and sly usually works the best. Apostasy doesn’t have to be rude, or in your face, just slow and subtle. The preacher’s tired and didn’t prepare a good message, it’s soft and lame, the people all tell him, “Good message Preacher, that really ministered to me”, and he goes away thinking he’s preaching what the people NEED to hear. And continues in that same line of preaching. “Wow, I must be hearing from the Lord, offerings are much bigger, people are getting saved left and right, people are joining the church like never before, ya, God is definitely in this, it’s a real move of the Lord”. This does happen, rarely, but generally it’s a god of our own making, giving us what WE want, a bigger, EVERYTHING. Sorry, if it’s not of GOD, it’s of Satan. That’s the only way to say it. Whatever “It” is, is either of God, or of Satan. Study the WORD, what God are you following? Be Blessed.
