Daily Devotional. That this is a rebellious people, lying children, children that will not hear the law of the Lord: Which say to the seers, (Men of God), See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits: Get you out of the way, turn aside out of the path, cause the Holy One of Israel to cease from before us. Isaiah 30:9-11. This will be the Great Apostasy at the End of Days, the end times. We are in that time now, and it’s only going to get worse. This is not talking about the general worldly population. They are ALL as dead men walking. They don’t believe and don’t care anything about church. Isaiah is talking about the (general) church across the land. People in church are more and more going to come to church, as usual, sing pretty songs, as usual, and listen to the preacher give a nice pretty message, as usual, BECAUSE THE MESSAGE SPEAKS NOTHING OF REPENTANCE, HOLINESS, OR RIGHTEOUSNESS. There is no convicting power of the Holy Spirit because He has nothing to do with the message given. ONLY the Holy Spirit can save and change lives. ONLY He can give the preacher a message directed to the spirit of man and bring His Convicting Power into that man’s life and spirit. The key here is, with no Holy Spirit, you have no conviction, no change, no Life. Without Life, all you have is death. Without the Holy Spirit in your church, you have a dead church. A church is dead when the congregation rejects THE WORD OF THE LORD. Preach us smooth things, easy things, feel good things. Sure, use God’s Name occasionally, talk about how He is a God of love, and if we pray right, He’ll bless our land. And even after a good song you get the Warm Woolies and declare, “Ooohhh, the Holy Spirit is all over this place, I can feel His Presence”. Ya Right! When the Holy Spirit actually shows up, half the people will hit the floor, the other half will head for the door. CHRIST IS THE ONLY DOOR. Be Blessed.
