Daily Devotional. And Moses came and told the people all the words of the Lord, and all the judgments: AND ALL THE PEOPLE ANSWERED WITH ONE VOICE, and said, All the words which the Lord hath said will we do. Exodus 24:3. This is as good as it gets in a church. Everyone is unified as one voice professing Christ, everyone in church considers himself, Christian. How much better can it get? Again, as all pastors know, this is a terrible way to have church. Everyone’s the same, they’re all saying the same thing, and it’s all words with (probably) very little action behind those words. They’re all sheep, they’re all goats, who’s to tell the difference? Yes, it could happen, but when’s the last time you’ve heard of EVERYONE in a church saying the same thing? Other than your church is possibly the Special Exemption, this almost never happens. Preachers and teachers, does this not scare you? Remember, we are to learn from Moses and the prophets. In Moses church, everyone’s saved, and only 2 actually made it into the Promised Land. In your church, almost everyone’s saved, and they’re all going to heaven? What do you know about human behavior that Moses didn’t know? Or is it time to “preach revival” and ask the Holy Spirit to start convicting sinners of their sins and start to examine themselves? Everyone wants to go to heaven, they just don’t know the whys and wherefores of how to get there. Preach hard, preach Christ, shake them out of their complacency and luke-warmness. If you won’t Teach this, who will? In one sense, call the church to “prove” their salvation, get them off the fence, hot or cold, something. If you won’t, or don’t, do this, how many will really end up in Hell? Yes, this IS serious stuff. LIVES are on the line. Save a life, and, Be Blessed
