Daily Devotional. And Moses came and told the people all the words of the Lord, and all the judgments: AND ALL THE PEOPLE ANSWERED WITH ONE VOICE, and said, All the words which the Lord hath said will we do. And he took the book of the covenant, and read in the audience of the people: AND THEY SAID, All that the Lord hath said WILL WE DO, and be obedient. Exodus 24:3, 7. Back in Moses day, all the people of his “congregation” heard the Word of the Lord, and they all said they would obey the Word of the Lord. “Wow, what a great, godly, obedient, bunch of people in my church. They have even professed with their mouths that they WILL obey all the Lord tells them to do”!!! “What a great and growing church I have, with, wow, over two million members AND GROWING”. Now for the bad news, bad news, part. First, it would appear there were a lot of goats professing to be sheep. Almost nobody really wanted to follow the Lord, so everyone over 20 years old died in the desert. Secondly, of those remaining who didn’t die in the desert and actually heard the report that the Promised Land, really was, The Promised Land, ALL BUT TWO SAID NO THANKS, WE’RE NOT GOING IN, only 2 of the original cast of millions actually Feared and Believed God and His promises. ONLY TWO. That’s a lot of people leaving the church. As for today, how many Pastors can get ALL their congregation, at the same time, to say they will follow and obey the Lord??? And how many will say, “Let’s go slay some giants and go for the Promised Land”? People don’t change and the Lord doesn’t change. Only the Holy Spirit can change people. Apparently numbers mean nothing. Only those with a heart for the Lord will amount to something. Preach, teach, and train all the Joshua’s in your church that you can find, they’ll lead the way into the Fullness Of Christ, and they will, Be Blessed.
