And believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women.) Acts 5:12, 14. And when Gallio was the deputy of Achaia, the Jews made insurrection WITH ONE ACCORD against Paul, and brought him to the judgment seat, Acts 18:12. These are two examples of all the people being of one mind being about the Father’s business, aka, being about the churches business. In Acts 5:12&14, all the people were in agreement with the Lord and He blessed them with signs and wonders and the Word grew. In Acts 18:12, the people were all in agreement that Paul had to be stopped from preaching the Word. (The church authorities wanted him stopped). Eventually, their plan for destruction against Paul failed. The point here is, just because a church body is in complete agreement about something, doesn’t mean the Lord is in it. He may be, or He may not be. So which is which? Only by using the Word of God as The One and Only Standard to judge something by can you determine if the Lord is in it or not. Majority rules, is not God Rules. It can seem that there is safety in numbers, but that didn’t work out so well for the Jews for their 40 years in the desert with Moses. Is it of God, or is it of man? “Circumstances”, is a poor reason to shove God’s Name into something He may, or may not, be a part of. Only hearing from the Lord and His Word is the safest way to know. If God is in it, it can be tested, just to be sure. He WILL be patient if hearts are hungry to hear from Him. Whatever endeavor you want to do, big, or small, seek God first, and you will always, Be Blessed.
