Daily Devotional. He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: HE SHALL GATHER THE LAMBS WITH HIS ARM, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young. Isaiah 40:11. Go your ways: behold, I send you forth AS LAMBS AMONG WOLVES. Luke 10:3. Jesus will take care of His whole flock, paying special attention to the lambs, as they are the most vulnerable of the flock. In one sense, to pick off a lamb is the easiest one to pick off. Yet, with Christ Himself, Personally taking care of the littlest ones, no one and no thing can take out one of these little ones. Jesus Christ, the Good Shepherd, will lose NOT ONE OF HIS. No lamb, or sheep, will be captured or killed BY THE ENEMY, SATAN, just because he wants to go on a killing spree. Satan can’t touch anything that belongs to Christ, including lambs and sheep. Christ does say, “Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves”. Matthew 10:16. We are to be very knowledgeable about the ways and traps of Satan as we move about in this sin riddled world. We are required to conduct ourselves with great care and Authority, knowing the Voice of the Holy Spirit and walking in Obedience as He gives us even step by step instructions. Understand the difference here, Satan can’t pick us off just because he wants to, he has to ask permission before he can even touch one of Christ’s. BUT, Jesus Christ, the Perfect Sacrificial Lamb, may, at any time, ask one of His sheep, or lambs, to be a Martyr, for whatever purpose HE has in mind. Satan may THINK he’s getting away with murder, but he’s not. He’s just a dog on a short chain and whatever he tries, will always be turned around to give God all the Glory. And His Sheep will willingly allow themselves to be used anyway the Good Shepherd wants to use them, because they KNOW He has the Best Plan and completely trust Him. From baby lamb, to mature sheep, Follow Christ, and, Be Blessed.
