Daily Devotional. In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, (of the world), AND HAST REVEALED THEM UNTO BABES, (in Christ): even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight. Luke 10:21. The Things of the Lord are revealed unto his sheep, even to the baby sheep. Yes, the Lord reveals Himself to all sheep, young and old alike, the point here is that He ALSO reveals Himself to baby sheep. Let’s understand something here, baby sheep are not stupid sheep, they are just young sheep starting to learn about the Things of the Lord. This is not about newborns drinking only milk and seniors eating meat and potatoes. This is not about eating habits. This IS about whatever you DO eat, you will be held responsible for. For example, baby sheep learns “God is good”. It is now his responsibility to proclaim to those around him that “God is good”, even if that’s the ONLY thing he has learned so far. Whether you are new and know very little, or well-seasoned and know a lot, we ALL will be held accountable for what we do with what we do know. In one sense, a baby sheep will be as equally responsible for all his knowledge, as a mature sheep. The one thing you know, baby sheep, is for your friend to hear when you tell him. The many things you know, mature sheep, are for you to tell the whole congregation. A lot, or a little, it doesn’t matter, if you’re Faithful with the little things, you’ll be Faithful with the big things. As for eating habits, the young learn simple basic stuff, the mature learn Godly Concepts. That’s OK, just be Faithful with what you do know, however much or little it is. Young OR old, DON’T HOLD BACK, TELL THE GOOD NEWS OF JESUS CHRIST THAT WE ALL MAY, BE BLESSED.
